Dores...

Well, the Commodore football team is back in action, and there was plenty of it this weekend. After finally solving some technical difficulties with DirecTV, I watched the game in its entirety and here are my thoughts:

I was extremely impressed by the performance of the two freshman running backs. Warren Norman (an ATLien) ran for an impressive 105 yards and two touchdowns would not be outdone by an incredibly shifty Zac Stacy, who countered with a 133 yard performance. Whether or not they played the Catamounts, that has to be a huge confidence builder for two college football virgins. It will be interesting to see if they can perform against the Bayou Bengal Tigers.

Speaking of groups that should be fun to watch against LSU, I am very anxious to see our defense against The Hat's group of players. To shut out anyone is an impressive showing, and I can't wait to see how the linebackers play.

The offense performed well, obviously, and if Justin had dropped that gorgeous dart from Larry Smith in the first quarter, I would have thrown something through the television.

All in all, can't wait to see more from the Dores this year.

More to come later this week.

PS - Thoughts on the 14.5 spread at which the game opened?
